Riding to Portland

After visiting Acadia, I rode for two days to get down to Portland to start the trip! I traveled light, with dry clothes, a rainjacket, a wallet; I sang loudly by myself: "Traveling light, with a hole in my soul where the wind blows through, yes a hole in my soul where the wind blows through"*. I think a few people definitely thought I was crazy as I passed by.
For those of you who care to geek out with me, it was 144 miles over the two days with 6,584 feet of ascent. For those of you who that doesn't mean anything to, I was tired and feel as if I deserved my tree-shade nap that I took when I arrived outside Portland.

*Robert Earl Keen - Traveling Light. It should also be noted that Little Feat's 'Willin' was on the top of my bike kareoke playlist.
