"Will Smith fought aliens for our freedom. Just remember that today"

aka Little Moose,

Today was filled with American Pride, which is to say it wasn't much different from the rest of the trip. We continued to ride with American Flags in our packs, stars and stripes bandanas, and the whole get-up. We rode for 81 miles into Pittsburg, PA, although we did get caught on a bad road in a nasty thunderstorm for a while so we took shelter on a nice woman's tin front porch and took a great summer-storm nap.
We watched fireworks from the bridge in Pittsburg, which were framed by the backdrop of a nice slice of moon.
Today, on the 5th of July, we had a day off so we slept in and I went on a tour of Pittsburg with Zach - the city is actually very impressive. The water fountain by market square is able to be played in, which is a big plus in my book, and the park overlooks boaters and kayakers on the river as well as Heinz Field (home of the Steelers). Later on Zach's family came by as well as a few friends and one of my favorite activities commenced - bluegrass jams.
